"Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC (AZAL) plans to operate direct flights from Baku to Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi twice a week in the near future.
Turizmplus.az informs with reference to "Report", referring to the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, it is informed by the Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev, Minister of Railways and Aviation Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Minister of Communications Asad Mahmud within the framework of his visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. , he said in bilateral meetings with Minister of Maritime Affairs Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari.
The issues of development of cooperation between the two countries in the transport sector, including aviation, railway and transit transportation, were discussed at the meetings.
R. Nabiyev informed about the large-scale reconstruction and restoration projects implemented in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan. The minister said that for the purpose of development of transport infrastructure, Azerbaijan has invested heavily in this area. Thus, a number of roads and railways were built, and new international airports were opened.
The parties discussed the issue of transportation between the two countries, including transit transportation. An exchange of views was held regarding the implementation of transportation through the "North-West" and "North-South" corridors using the ports of Pakistan.
