Formula 1 track in Baku (Baku City Circuit) is a real street track located in the center of a large city in the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The 6-kilometer track partially passes through the very center of Baku, including along the old city. This is the fastest of the city roads. The track is 6 km long and includes 20 turns (8 right and 12 left), the movement is organized counterclockwise. The maximum speed can reach 340 km/h, the calculated average speed can be 208 km/h. Against the background of all other autodromes, the track in Baku is distinguished by a certain section of the track, where the cars will go in opposite directions: from the 6th turn to the 7th in one direction, and from the 19th to the 20th in the opposite direction, and safety will be provided by concrete partition.

Our tour will consist of three parts - old and new Baku, as well as Nizami Street.

First of all, in the new Baku, guests will visit the Upland Park. It is here that the complex is located, which combines a memorial part, an observation deck and a magnificent park. A great opportunity to enjoy a panoramic view of the entire city.

It is simply impossible to come to Baku and not walk along the famous Baku Boulevard, because the main sights are gathered here: the State Flag Square of the Republic, the National Carpet Museum, the center of Mugam. And of course, the most important advantage of this boulevard is the view of the Caspian Sea.

And what awaits us in the second part of the tour of Baku? This is, of course, his "Old City" or "Icheri Sheher" as the people of Baku call it. The Old City is a historical treasure of Baku, here is the main symbol of the city - the Maiden's Tower, or Gyz Galasy, rises in the southeastern part of the Old City, this unique building of Azerbaijani architecture has no analogues in the East. Several dozen historical and architectural monuments will not let you pass by: Caravanserais, hammams, mosques and much more. It was here that episodes of such famous Soviet films as "The Diamond Arm", "Amphibian Man", "Aibolit - 66", "Tehran 43" were filmed.

The most visited and favorite street of both the local population and visiting guests is Nizami Street, or as it is also called “Torgovaya”. Nizami Street stretches from Abdulla Shaig Street to Sabit Orujev Street for three kilometers. It crosses the center of Baku from west to east. The name of the highway was given in honor of the classic of Persian literature Nizami Ganjavi. Nizami Street is constantly changing its architectural appearance, mixing baroque with classics, empire and gothic, neo-renaissance and modern. On the pedestrian stretch of the street there are many cafes and restaurants, shops with souvenirs and clothing.

Description of stands:

Absheron:

The Apsheron Grandstand (main stand) is located directly opposite the team garages. This is a great place to watch the intense start of the race and interesting events taking place at the pit stops. Fans who have bought a ticket to the Apsheron Grandstand (main stand) will enjoy an excellent view of the pit lane, the starting grid and the finish line. Spectators at the Apsheron Grandstand will also see how the winner raises the checkered flag, how the podium ceremony takes place, and will be able to join the celebrations on the track after the race. The Formula 1 Village, the main entertainment and trade area, is located behind the Apsheron Grandstand (main stand). Thus, you will have time to see all the events taking place on the track.

Spectators with tickets to the Apsheron Grandstand have access to all zones.

Azneft

The Azneft Grandstand (tribune 5) is located in a great location on Azneft Square along the breathtaking turn 16 on the seaside boulevard, next to the tennis club and the Baku Yacht Club. The Azneft Tribune (tribune 5) is located right at the bottom of the sloping section of the track. Spectators will be able to watch the cars race down to Turn 16, where they have an opportunity to overtake an opponent, then round the corner and accelerate in the seaside fast lane.

Spectators with Grandstand 5 tickets have access to all areas.

Mugam

Grandstand "Mugham Bay" (tribune 7) is located opposite the Puppet Theater on the boulevard. From this stand, spectators can see two different sections of the track at the same time. Directly opposite the Mugam Bay grandstand (tribune 7) is a section of the track where the cars head to the start/finish line at full speed, moving from left to right. At the same time, the cars on the opposite side of the track move towards turn 7 from right to left, and then turn into the historical part of the city. This stand is very close to the track.

Spectators with tickets to the Mugam Bay Grandstand (tribune 7) have access to all areas.

Sahil

Stand "Sahil" (stand 8) is located at turn 20 on the boulevard straight. From this stand, spectators can see two different sections of the track at the same time. Directly opposite this grandstand is a section of the track where the cars head to the start/finish line at full speed, moving from left to right. At the same time, the cars on the opposite side of the track go through turns 5 and 6 at lower speeds, giving the spectators a chance to see the cars and the drivers themselves.

Spectators with tickets to the Sahil Grandstand (Stand 8) have access to all areas.

Icheri Sheher

Tribune "Icheri Sheher" (tribune 4) is located right at the Entrance Gate to the Old City (Icheri Sheher). Holders of tickets to this grandstand have a unique opportunity to watch the race and enjoy the views of the city. The Icheri Sheher grandstand (tribune 4) is located on top of a hill that stretches along the walls of the Old City.

GyzGalasy

GizGalazy tribune (tribune 6) is located right along the ancient Maiden Tower (Kis Kalasi). Ticket holders can watch the race and enjoy a unique view of the Formula 1 cars going up the track against the backdrop of a UNESCO World Heritage site. Fans who have purchased tickets to the GizGalaza Grandstand (Rand 6) will see the cars go through turn 18 at top speed and then speed past the Maiden's Tower and continue down the main straight.

Boulevard

The tribune "Boulevard" (tribune 9) is located on the boulevard opposite the Museum Center and the Khazar tribune (tribune 10). Ticket holders for this grandstand can see the fireballs speeding towards the start/finish line at speeds in excess of 300 km/h. Spectators with tickets to the Boulevard Grandstand (tribune 9) have access to all areas.

Khazar

The Khazar Grandstand (tribune 10) is located opposite the Museum Center along the Boulevard Grandstand (tribune 9). Ticket holders for this grandstand can see the cars rush towards the start/finish line at speeds exceeding 300 km/h. Spectators with tickets to the Khazar stand (stand 10) have access to all zones.

Philharmonic

Ticket holders at the Philharmonic Grandstand (tribune 11) can see the final section of the sloping track and turn 16, to enter which the cars brake sharply, taking the opportunity to overtake the opponent. Then the cars overcome the turn at the Philharmonic Square. Spectators with tickets to the Philharmonic Grandstand (tribune 11) have access to all areas.
